My absolute favorite part of Halloween is the costumes. I love seeing everyone dressed up, and I love creating unique costumes that not many people will have. This year I've decided to be a Gumball Machine & so far it's been one of my most successful DIY Halloween costumes yet! If you want to know how I created these costumes, just keep on reading.
What you need
1.Cropped corset or a Shirt
(Needs to be Thick Cotton material)
2.Red skirt or Tutu
3.Alumn foil
4.Hot glue gun
5.Around 100-150 gumballs
Tips before you begin
Make sure the top you choose to use is supportive enough to hold the weight of the gumballs. I recommend laying down a towel or blanket that you don’t care about because hot glue strings will be everywhere.
Get started!
Begin by laying your shirt face up on the surface you will be working on.Start glueing on the gumballs! Place a dot of glue on your shirt and then stick whatever color gumball you’d like onto the glue. Repeat this step until your shirt is covered with gumballs to your satisfaction.Time to move on to the skirt. Grab your Pasta box and wrap it with aluminum Foil make a small square shape cut out to give the box a gumball effect like a real machine! Either print or draw the 25 cent sign. ( printed) Makes two small holes on each side of the box and carefully enter a string through both ends this will allow you to wear your machine & adjust it to your liking. Most important tip have fun! Your making something original YOU created! Rock it add a hint of your own style and make it unique!
